According to statistics, from January to August 2012, China's mold output reached 9.5811 million sets, a year-on-year increase of 16%. Among them, China produced 1.424,800 sets of molds in August, a year-on-year growth of 9.5%.
From the output of various provinces and cities, from January to August in 2012, the output of molds in Hebei province reached 2,615,700 sets, down 1.15% year-on-year, accounting for 27.3% of China's total output. Shanxi, Jiangsu and Guangdong provinces followed with 1.3557 million, 1.2626 million and 1.0578 million sets, accounting for 14.15 percent, 12.8 percent and 11.04 percent of the total output, respectively.
Mould is the basic technological equipment of industrial production, known as "the mother of industry". 75% of rough-machined industrial product parts, 50% of fine machined parts are moulded, and most plastic products are moulded. In recent years, after continuous development and improvement, Chinese die and mould enterprises have been improving their technological level in the process of actively promoting industrial optimization and upgrading, and their comparative advantage in the international market has become increasingly obvious. It is expected that China's die and mould export will grow at a high speed in 2012 although the growth rate will slow down.
